Bottom & Transition Layers
When using a 50um layer height, we recommend using 4-6 bottom layers, 6-8 transition layers and a 0.4-0.5mm raft. This reduces the wear and tear on your printer’s light source, LCD, FEP and saves resin.

How to Calculate Number of Bottom Layers

Example:
Layer Height = 0.05mm, Raft Thickness = 0.4mm
Divide the raft thickness by the layer height to get the number of layers required to print the raft:
0.4mm/0.05mm = 8
Therefore, we need at least 8 bottom & transition layers. We personally like using 4 bottom layers and 6-8 transition layers (10-12 total) for a 0.4mm raft.
