Sticky Prints

If your 3D prints feel sticky, look wet/shiny or have a white residue on their surface you most likely didn't properly clean and post cure the prints. The most common causes are:
-
Inadequate Cleaning: We recommend using a multi-bath wash process. Refer to How to Wash Resin Prints.
-
Not Dry Before Post Curing: Before post curing 3D prints, make sure they are 100% clean and dry.
-
Too Short Post Cure: Post curing is essential in removing surface tack. Make sure you are post curing based on the resin manufacturer's instructions.
-
Dirty Cleaning Solution: If your IPA (or other cleaning solution) is dirty, your prints will come out sticky no matter how much you wash them. If your clean bath is looking extra cloudy, replace the IPA with fresh solution, and recycle the used IPA into the dirty bath(s).
