Resin Printing

Ventilation

To help limit exposure to fumes and VOCs, make sure to have adequate ventilation. Fresh air in, fumes out!

Windows

One of the simplest ways to ventilate a workspace is to open windows or doors and use household fans to help direct the airflow. Keep in mind External UV Light & Temperature Warnings below.

Outdoor Spaces

Another option is to use your printer in an outdoor space such as a garage or shed. Keep in mind External UV Light & Temperature Warnings below.

Exhaust Fan

An exhaust fan is a great option when printing indoors. Make sure the fan has an appropriate air exchange rate based on the room size.

External UV Light & Temperature Warnings

  • UV light from outdoors can cure resin. If printing in a room with windows or an outdoor shed, block outdoor UV light using blinds or some other means. We recommend putting your printer on a wall without windows if possible.

  • Extreme climates (cold or hot) can be problematic. When 3D printing, it helps to keep resin at a temperature between 70-84F (21-29C).
